Model Context Protocol (MCP) with Slog AI Endpoints

Connect Slog to your favorite AI assistants through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for seamless time tracking and project management.

1. What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is a standard that enables AI assistants to securely connect to external data sources and tools. It allows AI models to interact with your applications in a controlled, secure manner.

With Slog's MCP server, you can ask your AI assistant to:

  • Track time entries for specific projects
  • Create and manage clients and projects
  • View your team's working hours and schedules
  • Manage team invitations and members

2. How to Connect

To connect Slog to your AI assistant via MCP:

  1. Get your API credentials - You'll need your Slog API token from your account settings.
  2. Configure your AI assistant - Add Slog as an MCP server in your AI assistant's configuration
  3. Use the MCP endpoint - Point to: https://www.slog-app.com/mcp/sse
  4. Authenticate - Provide your API token when prompted

2.1 Example configuration

For most AI assistants, you'll configure Slog as an MCP server with these settings:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "Slog": {
      "url": "https://www.slog-app.com/mcp/sse",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer your-api-token-here"
      }
    }
  }
}
